Comments: I started out with no dreams and no visions at all. However, after three years of attending UB, I was finally able to get a good picture of who I wanna be, where, when and why do I wanna do what I am going to do and achieve. My days in UB were the brightest days I have ever known.

Comments:I have reached my 2 year mark working as a Medical Technologist (aka Clinical Laboratory Scientist) for Dakota Clinic in Fargo. I have 2 boys who are 9 1/2 and 7. (The LOVE'S of my life!) I love being a mother and being able to watch my children grow and mature. There is nothing like it in this world. I also love the field I am working in and I am very glad I attended UND. Thanks again TRIO programs. The work each and every person did in their respective programs played an instrumental role in my life. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for all of you. Special thanks to Elaine for her tough love, sense of humor and motivation while I attended Junior High at Valley in GF. You helped me through those years more than you'll ever know.

Program(s): Ronald E. Mcnair PBAP
Years: 1998-2000
Comments: 4.5 years following my BS graduation, I worked at UND American Indian Student Services in student recruitment and transitioned into the Program Coordinator for the United Tribes Community Educators Program. In 2004 I left UND and North Dakota in search of a more appreciative climate for my family. I landed in St. Paul, MN and have been working with the Minnesota Department of Education Office of Indian Education as a Grant Specialist/Scholarship Supervisor/Community Education Specialist. My family is quite happy now and we have begun the search for my eldest daughter's college career in '07. Additionally, I sit on the Board of Directors for the St Paul Foundation Spectrum Trust - Two Feathers Fund and continue working with the American Indian Graduate Center Gates Millennium
Scholars Program as an ambassador for the program. Personally, I am revitalizing the lawn of our recently purchased 100 year old Arts and Crafts Duplex in the "frogtown" neighborhood of St Paul, a very diverse and revitalizing area surrounded by the best Asian food in the state.

I do database/systems support for a product called Microsoft Dynamics NAV. It's alot of fun and I'm constantly learning and keeping up with new technology and software. I enjoy my job and enjoyed the times I had with Upward Bound and totally we my success to the experience and opportunity that Upward Bound provided.
Thanks to Joan, Neil, Elaine, and the rest of the Upward Bound gang I can say they were a great help in my success as well.
I've also made life-long friends that we usually communicate on a daily basis. I appreciate my friends and love them as well, Leah Hubbard (Felton), Jenny Moncada (Kratzer), and Danielle Burkhart. Thanks guys for your friendship.
I've also recently married and had a beautiful daughter. I'm proud to be a former UBer and
appreciate the life I have and continue to have.
A great big hug and thanks to all!
